2. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly and information generated through use of our platform:

• Account Information: Name, business name, email address, phone number, and billing details when you register.
• Channel Credentials: OAuth access tokens for connected social channels (WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok). We never store your social media passwords.
• Conversation Data: Messages, customer data, and order information flowing through the Sambad inbox.
• Usage Data: Log files, IP addresses, browser type, pages visited, and feature interactions.
• Payment Data: Billing information processed securely through our payment partners. We do not store full card numbers.

3. How We Use Your Information

• To provide, operate, and maintain the Sambad platform.
• To process transactions and send billing notices.
• To operate the AI features — including auto-replies, lead scoring, and conversation summaries.
• To sync orders and inventory with the Blanxer ecommerce platform.
• To send product updates, security alerts, and support communications.
• To comply with legal obligations under the laws of Nepal.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We may share information with:

• Blanxer Platform: Order and inventory data is shared with Blanxer to enable agentic ecommerce features.
• Infrastructure Providers: Cloud hosting, database, and CDN providers under strict data processing agreements.
• AI Model Providers: Conversation content may be processed by AI inference services to generate summaries and replies. Data is not used to train public models.
• Legal Requirements: When required by court order or applicable Nepali law.

5. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including TLS encryption in transit, encrypted storage at rest, role-based access controls, and regular security reviews. Social channel connections use OAuth 2.0 — no passwords are ever shared with or stored by Sambad.

6. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your subscription is active. Conversation history retention depends on your plan (7 days on Starter; unlimited on Growth and Enterprise). After account deletion, we delete your data within 30 days except where retention is required by law.

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Request correction of inaccurate data.
• Request deletion of your data (subject to legal retention obligations).
• Export your conversation and customer data.
• Withdraw consent for marketing communications at any time.

To exercise these rights, contact our Grievance/Complaint Officer (see Section 10).

8. Cookies

We use essential cookies for session management and authentication, and analytics cookies to understand platform usage. You can control non-essential cookies through your browser settings. Disabling cookies may affect platform functionality.

9. Third-Party Links

The Sambad platform may contain links to third-party services (e.g., Blanxer, payment processors). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those services. Please review their privacy policies before providing any personal information.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes via email or in-app notification at least 7 days before the changes take effect. Your continued use of Sambad after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

12. Governing Law

This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of Nepal. Disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of courts in Bhaktapur, Nepal.
